The UChicago Buddhist Association is a student-led RSO that serves as an umbrella organization for groups of various Buddhist traditions on campus. Its purpose is to help promote Buddhism by organizing events (often workshops and talks involving invited meditation teachers) and facilitating engagement with core Buddhist values in everyday life. The Chan/Zen@Rockefeller Meditation Group

The Chan/Zen@Rockefeller Meditation Group meets every Wednesday afternoon between 5PM-6:45PM at Rockefeller Chapel for 30 mins of sitting meditation and Dharma sharing afterwards, followed by a Q&A. Mindful Breath Community

Mindful Breath is a meditation group in Hyde Park, Chicago with a focus on supporting community and exploring ways that the dharma can support our daily lives. The session includes 30 mins sitting and 10 mins walking meditation, followed by sharing and discussion. Participants are encouraged to bring something to share that comes from their study and practice with meditation, Buddhism or other spiritual teachings.

Rinzai Zen Club Weekly Meditation

Rinzai zen meditation is an embodied practice that involves using the breath to gain a more intimate understanding of your mind. Whether you're looking for a way to improve your sleep, gain a sense of calm, or answer life's deepest questions, please feel free to stop by and see what we're about!
We meet every Saturday 7-8pm and Sunday 1-2:20pm in the Bartlett Arts Rehearsal Space, and beginners are always welcome. If you have any questions at all, feel free to email utkin@uchicago.edu.  

Vipassana Meditation in the tradition of S.N. Goenka

Weekly vipassana group sitting for UChicago affiliates who have completed at least one 10-day course in the tradition of S.N. Goenka. Meeting every Thursday 6:00 - 7:15 in the Meditation room at Ida Noyes 033.
