Major Events… or, the Big Stuff
In all that we do, we seek to bring the University of Chicago’s storied rigorous approach to questions of religion, supporting inquiry and seeking to define the meaning of living in an interreligious era.
We celebrate festivals, host lectures and university-wide events, and create programs that examine the place of religion in today’s world, following the inspirational words engraved in Rockefeller Chapel in memory of Laura Spelman Rockefeller, promoting the “broadest and most liberal development of the spiritual forces centering in and radiating from this Chapel” (which funds our work!).
The Big Stuff
Over the course of the year, look for Mawlid and Easter and Diwali and Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, and much more!
Our many partner organizations offer gatherings for the religious observances of particular traditions.
