Hindu Sangam

Hindu Sangam is a community for Hindu students and interested learners to develop their knowledge and practice of Hindu traditions. We host yearly pujas (worship) for major holidays, satsangs (discussion groups) and run the Hindu prayer space in Rockefeller Chapel’s basement.

Campus Resources

Hindu worship is available for individual and group use from 7 am to 11 pm, with a University ID for access via the stairwell entrance on the northwest corner of Rockefeller. Contact Jigna Shah (jigna@uchicago.edu) for access. This space is currently closed.

Spiritual Life is happy to provide resources for LGBTQ students who wish to find a religious, spiritual, and/or philosophical student group or community which fully welcomes them into ritual observances and leadership roles.
